Spots- The heart and soul of SkateboardSpots, is its spots listings. The spots our the complete product of the members of the sites, because we feel they are the ones who know them best. The philosiphy we try to keep with SkateboardSpots is that this is not our site, its the members. Therefore they have control of what it becomes. Members list there favorite spots, and other members vote on them. We have tried to design the spot submision process to collect the information that we as Skateboarders would like to know if we were told about a spot by another skateboarder. This includes terrain, location, special "landmarks" to look for (schools, shopping centers, etc.), best time of day to go, etc. Yet we have also provided space for the member to provide a personal description and additional directions, to let each member fully describe the spot the way they would like. We feel this way the neccesary information is collected while still allowing for creativity and personallity of skateboarders. This has never been done before. No where on the net will you find a comprehensive, user submitted, searchable spots listing with as much information as this.
